Our beautiful Megan

Slipped away peacefully by my side on the 24/9/12. She was nearly 13, a good age for a Rottweiler. Sleep tight my angel. Well miss you so much xxx

I'm so sorry for your loss.

As you say, 13 is a cracking age for rotti and you must take comfort from this and knowing that she went peacefully.

Run free sweet Megan.

Thank you both, I was very worried about the passing & did think 'i'll leave her there & the vet can did the deed' then I thought NO she's been there for me for 13 years so I pulled up my big girl pants & went to the vets & I'm very glad I did. She slipped away with me kissing & cuddling her with tears rolling down my face. This was my choice & I can understand why people can't face this because it is very hard. Xxx

So sorry you've lost your beautiful girl, but 13 is a grand age for a big dog (((((((hugs))))))) for you.xxx

I recently lost my big, old boy, he was only 3 months away from his 14th birthday, and you're right, it's amazing the strength you can find from nowhere when you know its something you just have to do for them, when they've given you so much for all those years.

Run free sweet girl.xxx

Thank Helen, aw it is heartbreaking. Meg would have been 13 in Dec. Wow, that was a very good age for your big dog too! Yes, the strength comes from somewhere but it's not for everybody. I took great comfort in knowing the last thing she would ever remember was me talking to her & all the kisses & cuddles given. I dreamt about her the very next morning, I was in the kitchen & turned around & she was there looking her happy self then I woke up. Maybe it was her letting me know she's happy & healthy again lol. Thank you all xxx

I am so sorry for your loss of your gorgeous girl Megan. It is such a horrible decision to have to make, but the ultimate kindest thing and always done with great love.

I lost my 15 year old girl two years ago and I still miss her dreadfully, and always will.

{{{hugs}}} to you for being so brave.
