Pepsi is limping.

Pepsi is limping this morning. A few days ago I thought she looked a bit awkward on her left leg and today she is definitely limping and when she is still she holds the leg up in the air.
Could it be a bit of arthritis or something more serious.
Thoughts please.

Hi she could have landed funny,my Faye recently was mucking about on a walk, she jumped it wasnt sand but pebbles, she made a noise and was holding her paw up,I thought she had broken her ankle, but within a few minutes she was back to play,I had checked the paw by bending it,she didnt flinch, but when we got to the car park she again seemed to have a slight limp, this has gone on for a few days,so she is banned from walks and strenous play,I think she has sprained something,no sweliing, but have noticed she is limping not all the time,so will give her rest in her cage for a few more days and see if it improves.Gemini54

Thanks Gemini.
She's not keen on us touching it. I will see what she is like when she gets back from her walk and maybe rest her for a while.

Poor Pepsi I would probably get it checked out if it does not improve after rest.

Poor little Pepsi If she does not like you touching it I think maybe a vet visit might be the best thing.

Hope it is just something in her paw, surely she will let you have a look even if she's not keen.

Only a vet can say what is wrong, all the various alternative people can't say, they will be breaking the law if they do.

If one of my dogs suddenly starts to limp I inspect the foot/leg, if I can't find anything wrong I wait 24 hours and reassess.

You dog has been showing odd signs for a few days and her leg has deteriated, I would take her to the vet.

I thought its only against the law to " treat" the sick if you are not qualified ( medical) , I did not think it was against the law to give an opinion

I would see how it goes, if she is no better tomorrow and she still wont let you look, maybe a trip to the vet, as has been said, it could be anything from a minor ailment to something a little more serious, maybe also give her exercise a rest for today, just in case.

poor Pepsi hope she's ok. If mine get limpy I normally rest them for a day or 2 and then take to vets if it hasn't improved. Mine normally let me inspect so maybe she's in a bit of discomfort xx
