stripped him myself Dawn as i always do, no tools just finger and thumb with the use of chalk, never has his coat been like it, he is almost bald in places, his coat had blown so i stripped him as he looked hot and heavy in this heat, he has a superb coat normally and has never been clipped. I know it will grow back but it has come as a shock. Could a new puppy have stressed him out and this is the result.

I suppose it "could" be stress but I have never genuinely seen anything like that before.

Would it be worth getting his thyroid checked as when my Boxer was diagnosed as Hypothyroid he lost all his coat on his flanks.

Mind you I think Dawn would have come up with that idea so I'm probably wrong

He will be taken to the vet and i hope they have an answer, his coat before stripping was excellent though so i dunno.
I have to watch him with the sun as some of his skin is bare very strange.

I was wondering what stripping was, as well. The more I learn about dogs, the more I realize I don't know.
