First Championship Show of the Year!

I am steeling myself for a 5am start tomorrow to trek up to Belfast for the Newtownards Champ show (IKC) the Balmoral venue always seems to be 10 degrees colder than anywhere else and there is always a warning for this show in the schedule, to wrap up warm!
This is the first Irish Champ show this year, next is Crufts so it will be a good practice.
I am sooooooo used to sitting around at home weekends or going on a gentle jog up to Dublin for an Open starting at noon, it is going to be a real shock to the system
Some friends are bringing new (female) puppies so Deccy has had a bath and has been humming to himself in anticipation all evening
Will report back tomorrow night .........

Well he was washed in Johnson's baby shampoo but insisted that every nook and cranny was scrubbed, the baby girlies will get him on his toes just hope I can divert his attention for a few minutes while we are in the ring!
Thanks for the good wishes but I'm not holding my breath - our main rival will be there, I've always liked the dog and he normally beats us but we have beaten him. Once.
Luckily the rules have changed this year and there are now separate classes for Champions, no Grad, straight from age classes (various up to 2 years) to Open then Champ... so when this dog gets his title which he should pretty soon, at least we may only meet him in the challenge ..... hope will stay alive for a few moments longer!

Well he will probably show off a bit for them, with them being fresh blood etc. so with any luck he will be on his toes and preening himself making sure those little girlies see him at his best.
Can't wait to hear how you go on
