Never seen so much dogs hair ...(Is it ok to leave dog hair behind you?)

Yesterday when i was leaving the car park of one of my walks I saw a man brushing 2 Leonberger's ,today I walked by the biggest pile of hair i have ever seen which he had left behind ...lol
I know there was a news story about someone getting fined then not fined for littering for leaving dog hair ..
Do you brush your dogs out in public places ..?
Do you think its ok to leave hair behind ??

I brush my dog at home and the hair goes in the bin. I'm sure there's lots of loose hairs fly off that I don't get but I don't leave big clumps of hair lying around like someone round here keeps doing.

I sometimes brush Ivan in the park but I collect the hair and put it in the bin. I would never dream of leaving it flying about.

Haha this thread made me laugh, as I groom my lot here at home, but usually on the hill through the gate by my cottage. I always used to just leave the hair to get blown away in the wind, and have even noticed birds collecting it (presumably for their nests). However, I always get a rollicking off my hubby - who says it looks as though I have been skinning rabbits out there, so I now bag it and bin it

At nesting time I used to put bits of Gertie's hair in the bushes in the garden for the birds, otherwise it goes in the bin.

Years ago a man I met in the park used to ask me for bits of Blodwen's (border collie) hair as he used them for fly-fishing. (He had a pug so not much use).

I have a large country park on my doorstep and the Rangers encourage people to brush their dogs and leave the.
hair as the birds and mammals use it for nest material
There is a river over the road from me and I often take mine on there as well and give them a good doing with the rake, again I leave the hair
The river is too high at the moment to take the girls on, so today they have been done at home and it has all been swept up and binned as I never take them on the Country Park at the weekend

I brush Brownie only at home. However I might leave some hair behind if I brushed him in public, the birds here like to take it up to their nests and it will blow away quickly and not leave any true litter behind.
