i have had 2, both when i had my girls. i had trouble with it the second time as it did not go right the way up (only go up to my belly button on my right side) so i had to be put to sleep (had C.section)

when having Joshua i had a spian block and it was fad, worked just as fast as the Epidurals
but had feeling back im my legs with in 2 hours (not like Epidurals had no feeling for about 6 hours) the only down side with the block is that after 2 hours you need to take pain killers as it has worn off (but means you can have a shower sooner )

I suppose they cannot really tell how big it will be unless they do a scan, which i'm going to ask the midwife to sort out for me next week.

I'm bigger than my first 2, but to other people they still cannot believe i have only 30 days to go... to them i'm small.

But i'm usually only 9 and abit in weight and quite small framed (skinny) with a 28" waist in mens 501 levi's.

I think the reason i look small is its all baby and not alot of water and its squashing the hell out of my insides

Ian's nephew was just over 11lb, and that was the womens first child

I'll hopefully know more next week, maybe

I'll be needing abit more than a rubber ring if he comes out big

if they scan you, you will find out.

I got scanned with 3 weeks to go and was told my son was already 9lb 7oz then when he was born he was 11lb 2oz so the scan was quite accurate.

i was scanned when i went into labour with the twins as they had to make sure it was her head coming first and not his feet or anything and they said they would be 5lbs each and they were 6lbs 3oz and 6lbs 9 oz so not mega accurate really

I suppose like everything else it depends on who is doing the scan.
