Dogs actually didn't "come from wolves." That's such a common misconception. Dogs and wolves share a common ancestor. We can call that ancestor whatever we want to but modern wolves are not what evolved into dogs.

Ah wrong again Shirley, as even if what you say is true, the ancestor was a wolf. However there is little evidence to support this new theory and there is also no evidence that humans domesticated dogs 30,000 years ago. Seems like some college nerd got a grant to invent this new theory

SERIOUSLY. She's just trolling at this point. I'm starting to wonder if she even owns dogs.

Perhaps you should start educating yourself by reading

"Dog behaviour, evolution and cognition" by Adam Miklosi

and

"In defence of Dogs" by John Bradshaw

Neither author is what you seem to consider a "college nerd"!

I would love to know what's wrong with being a "college nerd." So actually being smart and getting degrees and understanding how to research and set up studies makes you somehow nothing in this person's eyes?

Of course, there is a real anti-intellectualism thing going on in the States. Like it's not COOL to be smart here for whatever reason. It's not something I'll ever understand.
