Have You Seen the Presidents New Dog?

Barak Obama has just introduced his new dog on the 6pm news.
A Portugese Water dog, cute little thing.
How much will their popularity be boosted by that

I read about this today as the americans are all kicking off cos apparently he promised he would get a rescue dog and technically this dog is not.

I think the dog is lovely and hope it has a wonderful life with the Obama's but personally think the hype surrounding it is ridiculous.

Looks a cutie......I hope it doesn't have an adverse effect on the breed

Why should he get a rescue dog if he doesnt want to? Its his and his family's choice

I think it's a great breed for them. They need a lot of grooming (hired help cann sort that out), a lot of exercise and stimulation (hired help can help with that) and he even has a sort of afro!!

OK, kidding, I don't really give a monkeys to be honest as long as he gets the life he deserves. I do wish they'd spell the name "beau" right though!! My Dad's name is Beau ;o)

He's a real sweetie, the spelling "Bo" is correct, he was named after Bo Diddley, my late pei was also called Bo and spelt the same

And there's me thinking they named him after my Dad

I don't think people ate saying he should have got a rescue. I think it was him who stated it would be a rescue in his ore election campaign. correct me if Zi am wrong.

Yup.. he said he'd probably get a 'Mutt like him", he used it to make a point about his mixed heritage - again - so he didn't alienate the white folks

As the dog was a gift from a senator, who also owns the breed, and was a breeder 'returnee' then I think most of it was out of their hands. At least the dog got a new home!
