My new couch...

...is coming on Sunday!!!

Not yet - it has rained twice, once three drops and then whoopdedoo five drops. But I have not had to put the air/con on today so I guess it is a bit cooler. Still summer wear though and only a single top sheet on the bed at night.

The couch is not for me to sit on - it is very plain imitation leather covered and opens to a double bed. Just not so bulky as my current one which my neighbour is taking to give a good scrub up [it is fabric covered] and will then go to whoever needs it.

I had almost forgotten I had bought it though - bought it on 21 July thinking delivery was 14-21 days and it turned out to be 12 weeks.

But I got a telephone call to say it will be delivered on Sunday between noon and 4pm!

Are you excited ?

To be honest I am not sure, but it is a bit late now to say I do not want it!

Maybe when it arrives you wll feel differently. It has been a long time coming.

Trouble is that I have since seen another one I like a bit better but it is also fabric covered like my current one, and that is one of the reasons I wanted to replace it - the new one will be just wipe clean and not a dust/dog hair magnet.

Now I have to "borrow" a couple of strong guys to move this one to my neighbour so I can try to clean the floor underneath it - and I really do not want to know what is under there!

My new couch is not coming. They just phoned me and said they do not have the one in brown which I ordered and paid for on 31 July and which was supposed to be delivered this afternoon, but I can have black, red or white. I do not want black, red or white, I want the brown couch I ordered and have been paying for.

I am now in a situation where I have made four of the nine interest-free payments, plus the delivery charge, for a couch that I cannot have. The one which they said would be delivered this afternoon.

Won't they give a full refund? I think you have more than a justifiable case

I bought it through the TV shopping channel. Bought my previous couch through them. Bought my bedroom suite through them. Paying through them. But I telephoned immediately after the call this morning [they work 24/7] and was told the order was being fulfilled today. Only it is not my order and if I have said I now do not want it, it is my problem and not theirs.
