Dog friendly beaches?

Hi all,

Lola will be out and about by the bank holiday weekend, and I would really like to be able to take her to experience all the fun of the seaside. I am in the south east of England, and wonderd if anyone knows of any beaches that are friendly to dogs and thier owners. I know that at this time of year dogs are not welcomed on most beaches, but thought that there might be one or two that might allocate a section of beach that can be used by dogs?

My fave bitch of the south east has to be Witterings

Dogs are welcome on one side of the beach all year and its a lovely walk too.

but other beaches which are closer for me are:

Ferring
Goring by Sea
Shoreham by Sea

and Worthing

all dog friendly too - am sure all year round too but better double check!

Great thanks! We have used many of those beaches ourselves but had never really looked into the dog side of things. Well thats my bank holiday sorted! cant wait to introduce Lola to the beach. I hope that she is going to love it!
