Locky's 3rd "gotcha" day.
I haven't had time to be on here much recently (went back to Uni), but thought I'd mention this special day.Three years ago today our beautiful old boy Locky came to live with us.
He had no trouble making himself feel at home from the first day:
It hasn't all been a bed of roses has it Locky???? You have given us lots of sleepless nights with your aching bones, all the different pills, powders, potions and treatments you have been on, and trying to get you pain free was a struggle at first but we got there didn't we. (We'll keep quiet about the visit from the dog warden and police officer eh pal)
Do I really want to live here?
You live life to the full with all your pals, especially Bear, life is precious to you Locky and you make sure you enjoy every minute of it.
You are nearly 13 now and you are slowing down and growing old gracefully, when you have had enough you trot off back to the car and sit at the door. We hear your bones creaking a little bit more but no matter what, you have a smile and a cuddle for everyone that you meet, and you know where they all keep their treats.
So Locky you old codger, we are so glad you came to live with us, and glad that we have had these 3 years with you, even if you have been bloody hard work at times !
