So proud of Murphy (Rottie)

Took Murphy over to the park last night for a 20 minute walk (thats all he's allowed due to leg problem) and as he's not really been on any decent walks since the begining of May due to his TPLO op and subsequent problems with it, he had become quite lungy and barky towards others dogs, not aggressively but obviously all previous training had gone out the window, any way....took Murphy over the park and there were loads of dogs so I exptected a pretty rough time of it and was amazingly suprised, my boy behaved like a dream , when other dogs were walking by I would put him a sit and he was just sitting there watching the dog(s) go by, no lunging, barking, nothing...he was so good (obviously he got lots of priase for this). At one point he had 2 basset hounds, a gorgoeus lurcher and a little JRT puppy all up to him sniffing him and the little pup was running around him and barking and Murphy just sat there and let them all sniff him - I went home with a MASSIVE grin on my face - all the training is finally stating to pay off

Oh, well done indeed Stephanie It can be a long, hard road but when you get those sorts of results you can see that all the work, patience and perseverance can achieve behaviour changes and is so worthwhile.

Good man Murphy (Hope you got a steak for your dinner )
