I have never seen one in the garden in the daytime before, so I was very excited when I saw him. We do get them sometimes at night, and we have loads of hedgehogs and frogs, toads, lots of birds, even found a wild rabbit in my garden once, it ate the carrot seedlings from my very rubbish veggie patch

I will try and get better pics if he comes back. I have some hedgehog pics on my computer somewhere so I will have to find them

Unfortunately, one of the adults now only has half a tail, but still looks of from what I can see. The cubs are full grown now too so there are more. Not unusual to see at least two or three on our last walk - I love them
You are so lucky,we know they come into the garden but don't see them that often. They are gorgeous.

I shall send you the ones that live in the woods/fields next to our house - the ones where the vixen insists on calling outside our house at about 4 am, and the dog fox cocks his leg up our garage door!!

It is a noise which would curdle blood isn't it?

Yes, and sets off the dogs barking every time

mind you - the foxes could stay if they'd get rid of the peacocks that live on the grounds of the Big House nearby
