VERY Urgent Insurtance Question

I have Ben Insured with Petplan and I can't find the documents but he IS insured I just can't think straight to think where they are. Nor can I see straight. Will the vet treat him and charge me or will they take the word he is insured as the customer services are shut today. Its not my ususal vet but one who works in partnership with mine

I have always paid the vet then claimed back - does your service work differently? Have you used insurance there before? They may have a record of it ...

Hi yes tell your vet he is insured and then pay and claim it back.
But you need to call the insurance peeps, even if you cant find paperwork they should be able to do it through your address etc. but make sure you tell them asap or it may not be valid if you go ahead without telling them.

Insurance company will def be able to trace you, using your address etc and I am sure your vet will take your word for it until you get confirmation xxxx

Never taken my documents in to show the vet.
Mine claim direct so I don't pay, only the excess. I think the one time we did claim I did have to phone over the policy number, though. There was no rush or panic about it though.

Our vets have each dogs poilicy number on thier computer, we pay the excess, but they claim direct.

However some vets ask you to pay and then you claim it back from the Insurance less excess.
You shouldn't have any problems, the Insurance will be able to trace you by name address etc.,
