well my mum decided we couldnt keep him,,, so had no choice but to take him the rspca - gawd i wish i hadnt


left him there - whilst mum was ringing round people who she knew - found someone who would tak him! so went back to the rspca and said i will have him back etc... couldnt

so i said what if i keep him at home for the 28 days they wuld have kept him if his owner had appeared.... nope

so they said if no-one claims him in 28 days he's mine....

is 28 days normal??? i thought it was 7......

The council pound is 7. I've never had experience with the RSPCA in that sense but I have a feeling 28 days is right.

Well done suze - I'm sure he'll find somewhere lovely through the RSPCA, at least they can get him treated and cleaned up and you don't have to worry about the cost for you.

my mum has contacted someone who has recently lost their dog, who may want him, he's being offered to me first if he's not claimed - do i take him and then give him to this woman or leave it????

i really really want to keep him - i can see the agility potential in him.... but mum says no/......... grrrrrrrrrrr

do you know he has been abandoned not lost or stolen?
have you reported him to the dog warden as a stray dog. that is the legal procedure. even the RSPCA kennel would have to do this.
