sorry for the rant,

anyone else experience this?
Compliment them on their fine looking dogs, and with a handfull of treats get their dog to sit, down, up etc etc.

Try and engage with them instead of appearing wary of them - normally i would avoid them.

I'm a lesbian coz I hugged another girl Oh, and because I own a largeish, scruffy looking, non "girly" dog who won't fit in my handbag.

It's madness. How can what breed of dog you own tell anyone about your sexual preferences? It can't! Personally I'd blow them kisses and call them darling but that's probably not the smartest thing to do.

Could you vary the times that you take your dog out?

Numpties!

Are you able to drive further afield to walk your dog?

If not, ignore it completely. They are hoping to get a rise out of you - don't give them the satisfaction.

Immaturity shines through! They will grow up one day.

It's strange how people come to these conclusions. Some people think my friend and I are gay because we share expenses when she comes caravanning with me (dog shows) we have even been asked how we make the beds up. We are not particularly bothered about it we, find it quite amusing.

Crikey, the stereotypes that are coming to light in this thread! The New Lesbian wouldn't be seen dead in jeans and a hoody - none of you seen the L word?

LOL, most lesbians I know have JRTs.

Spaniel7, does what they say only get to you because you have a problem with being gay/gay people? I had a male friend at uni who was, for want of a better expression, a little effeminate. Many people thought he was gay, but he just said very sweetly: 'As it happens, I'm not - but if I were, it would be absolutely fine, too!'

If you didn't give a toss either way, their names should never hurt you.

BTW Quite a few (caution! politically incorrect assumption!) straight men around here walk Cavs, Yorkies, Pugs, Chis. They don't have a problem with it. And because they don't have a problem with it, nobody else does.
