These accidental litters are everywhere, not wishing to be negative, but if the parents were registered and the kittens are not it probably means the parents were sold as pet quality only and sold on the "non active" register, whereby no progeny can be registered.
I know where you are coming from, as I used to show cats. This is the most likely explanation. Funnily enough, my next pedigree cat was going to be a Maine Coon or a NFC so I will enjoy having him as a pet... and of course he will have his pockets picked when he is bigger
I've already triggered the purr button as we had a cuddle earlier while I took a fine comb through his coat, having a long haired cat that likes being groomed is definitely a bonus!

He's revving up now, clambering up the sides of the crate and chasing his new toy which is garish, light and has feathers stuck to it. Marvellous! He has a very cheeky expression, too!
