singing to your dog

Dori (the goldie) loves me singing to her god knows why has i can't, my oh half moans when i sing it is that bad.
But its not just normal songs she likes, it can be any tune but you have to sing her name, we dont just call her dori we also call her dodi, dodi bo, silly names that sound a bit like her's. she is mad.

Just wondered if anyone else sings to there dog!?

it's not just me is it

I sing songs to Moxie all the time. I make up little tunes while I'm holding and cuddling her. She loves it! No one else does, but thats why my Moxie is special.

I do it all the time, usually to adverts on the telly and changing the words to suit whichever dog I`m singing to at the time

Luckily three of them are deaf so they dont have to hear the racket
My little blind cat loves it though, she goes all cute-burbly and seeks me out to climb up me when I sing but that said she is a sarny short of a picnic at the best of times

I sing to mine, I sing songs and change words to their name, like Maddy I sing 'Maggie May' but Rod Stewart, and change it to Maddy. I'm a loony.

I have to confess I do the same and i sing to my dog too and I change lyrics to put his name in, he seems to like it for some reason. The best bit is he sings back to me sometimes, this is entirely my fault because he howls if he hears sirens and I always go 'aww hes singing!' to him as I love his howl and am trying to get him to do it on command by saying 'singing', but sometimes I sing mummy looooves youuuuu, sing if you love mummy and he goes wooowwrrrowowroooooooo in a weird half howl half wookie way. The OH thinks I'm insane

Had to laugh and agree with Wolfie. My two just go into overdrive and attack me if I am singing which turns into a massive playfight, much the same I think they are telling me that I am no good whatsoever!
