The girl has already realised that Gary has more problems than just deafness. She is like a mini carer in that she keeps her eye on him when they go out (or so I believe or want to believe )

I think what bothers him is that he is worried that I can follow their conversations - not that I do. That's not what the camera is for. If it makes him happy, I just let him believe I turn it off when she's there.

Ahhh o.k Chris, I am sure she does keep an eye on him when they are out Chris...I hope things run smoothly with them both, could be helpful for you at the moment to have someone else around for Gary.
