Sophie spreading her springer love.
Sophie came to us 10 days ago now from a home where she should never have been.
For the 2 years of her sweet little life she had been kept outdoors and had been paid very little attention.
We knew that we unfortunately couldn't keep her as we already have 3 German Shepherds of our own. So the hunt began for the perfect home for her.
We also got the best advice ever from Pidge, who I might say has been fantastic with us and she never tired of taking our endless phone calls.
We thought that we had found the right home for her on the weekend but decided that in the end it wasn;t the right home for her.
On Monday night we spoke to a policeman who's father in law was looking for a dog as he had recently lost his Cocker Spaniel.
We then spoke at length to Evan who is a very fit and active widower and just from his voice and the words he spoke about, I instinctively knew that Sophie would be well loved and cared for with him.
So today we drove the 60 miles to let him and Sophie meet.
I think he fell in love the second he saw her and off we went for a walk on the nearby beach.
I can not say it was easy leaving Sophie there, me and Michael had both fallen in love with her but we knew for her sake we had to let her go.
So here are a couple of photo's of Sophie and her new dad.
A little friend who came to be nosy.
I will end now but I just have to say we are missing our Springer love that Sophie used to give us.
