'Surf'vice Dog

I watched this Video of a service dog that assists the disabled to surf.

I don't know if I am alone in this but I found it a bit over the top that the Puppies begin training at birth, I think service dogs are marvelous, but the pups not even got her eyes open and I found it a bit disturbing.
I have commented as such on the you tube page but expect to get shot down

Whats the general opinion?

What an amazing dog. She is wonderful. I do not agree with pups being taken away from mum from birth but dont know if that was the case here.
She clearly enjoys her job....I dont think you can force a dog to surf!!!

Thanks for sharing the vid i enjoyed it.

Yes I did ask if it was the case but my question was answered with a 'look at my website' I have sent an inbox message on you tube am waiting on a repsonse!

I am not saying anything is forced and i think service dogs are AMAZING I was just a little put off with a puppy being made to walk and climb etc when they haven't even got their eyes open.

They learn all they need to know in the first couple of weeks from mum & siblings, my point is what is to be acheived by such training from such an early age?
