Hi Nicola At least you have some an idea of the cause of Roxy's problems and that is half the battle.
We have had a number of bitches on here who have been successfully treated for age related urinary incontinence with Propalin syrup.

Propalin is brilliant - I have known lots of people with doglets on this, and with luck she will be totally drip free for a long time to come if this is what she is given.

Poor love, she is obviously licking because she wants to be clean.

Big cuddles for her from me and from Jimmi

We had the options of Propalin and Incurin. Syrup 3 times a day in food, tablets twice a day or a tablet once a day.

We're starting with the once a day option which is the Incurin as Roxy has become a nightmare to get meds in to and always susses them out in food a refuses to eat. I don't want to put her off her food if I can help it. The tablet is small which helps!

To try it for a week and report back to the vet. If it works we're going to try her on one every second day and see how she gets on with that.

Hopefully she won't be one of the dogs who end up needing both although knowing Roxy.....!

What next, I wonder?!

Glad to hear the tablets are doing the trick - both you and Roxy will be much happier

Still no dribbling, so the tablets are definitely working.

Phoned the vet today who said to decrease the dose to one tablet every second day and report back in 14 days this time. Hopefully she will still be dribble free!

One tablet every second day didn't work, neither did half a tablet once a day, so Roxy has been on 1 tablet once a day for about 6 weeks now and all is well. No dribbling whatsoever and she's very happy in herself! So, that's what we're sticking to - one tablet per day.
