I agree it is also far more painful. even worse some vets, inspectors, those qualified to euthanise inject into the abdomen, which unfortunately results in the animal dying a slow death. Vets routineuly do it this way in small animals, hamsters, g.pigs etc

Sylvia held her anti-euthanasia views before her time in America, when she ran Last Chance in Kent.
She still held them in America, but had her own reasoning for taking up the job. She explains it quite well on her Many Tears website.
