The food you were giving was pretty rich for an ailing dog so that may well have been the cause. As others have said, keep to very bland, easily digested food until he is on the mend.
My vet has told me to blend his food up and syringe feed him, which is awful to do. He is getting natures menu blended at the minute as he wouldn't eat it himself, usually he will.
It's killing me to see him like this, he's not my boy at all
