personally i wouldnt leave them for that long.

when daphni had her puppies, the night they were born and the first couple of nights, the whelping box was on my bed with me in the corner. it then moved onto the floor, but right next to the bed. she wasnt really left on her own at all with them, except when i took the boys for a walk.

at 3 weeks old the pups moved downstairs into the big wide world of the kitchen. even then though she wasnt left too long.

i am lucky though that i dont start work until 4 in the afternoon, and nana is home at 5. so there was always someone here bar that 1 hour gap in between.

leaving a bitch straight away with puppies is risky in my opinion. i wouldnt like to risk it.
