I have no real clue on the Northern breeds and types...

yeah, it is, but the ears told me (yes ears speak LOL) Mal... If I saw that dog here, I would think a non-type Mal, however females are alot more pointed than males.

But again, we dont have all those wolf-look-alike types here...

We just have wolf hybrids LOL

they shouldnt be a female should look feminine without being 'weak' not a longer muzzle.

Nope, I didn't say a longer muzzle, I said more pointed.

The trend here, it seems, is for the females to look almost sibe like, at least, that's what I've noticed at the dog shows lately

Also just to say I don't think a Ute is a breed, but having no clue whats in them its easier to just say Ute lol, but I don't really know northern types, but this dog does seem Uteish to me.

A Mal x Wolf? I'd say it has Mal in somewhere, but does have a wolfier face than a lot of them. Maybe Mal x GSD?
