2 years ago today.

We became fully fledged members of the Failed Fosterers Club.

It was Sat 18th April that we got a call out of the blue from our trainer. A 13 week old GSD was being abandoned - could we foster him for a a short time. She had 6 dogs with her at the time (3 her own plus 3 foster), and all her regular foster homes were full.

I said no at first. I had two of my own. I was having issues with Locky. I could't afford the time or expense... Then I reluctantly agreed to have him for 2 weeks max.

And so off I went that afternoon, and was met by this:

I brought him home, I think he'd pretty much decided that he liked it here:

We twice thought we might have found a new home, but it wasn't to be.

By the 27th, he'd completely wormed his way into our hearts:

And so here he stayed.

Bear today (last week) with his best pal, I'm sure he keeps Locky young at heart:

With big sister too:

I don't think I'd have ever deliberately set out to find a third dog, but i'm so glad that I was in to take that call on that day

Oh what stunning, stunning pics, and as for Bear, well, he already had your name on him no matter how hard you might have tried, and I bet you're so glad you found him now aren't you. Absolutely goooooorgeous and well done for caving in in the first place lol!

Brilliant!! I am a failed foster x 2. Sadly one is now at the bridge.
Bear is stunning though and I always think everything happens for a reason

Who could have resisted Bear - what a gorgeous gorgeous puppy and he grew up to be such a handsome fellow. It was obviously meant to be.
