Christmas veg?

Oh Wise ones..help please??! I am wondering what veg to do for xmas dinner? Obviously sprouts are on the menu, but what else do you have? I want to do something a bit more interesting this year we usually just have basic veg so the kids eat it.

Also how do you all do your parsnips if you have them? I usually just put a bit of oil and honey on them and they are nice but have to say its just guess work cos i only do them once a year

Any ideas appreciated or would just be interested to hear what you have.

Thanks in advance xx

Roasted butternut squash with ginger and garlic, savoy cabbage with crispy bacon and fried onions stirred in, baby carrots glazed in brown sugar and butter, roasted parsnips and tatoes? Oh and sprouts if we must!

I just roast my parsnips with a little olive oil over them - and it wouldn't be Christmas dinner without them I also have roast pots, carrots, sweetcorn and sprouts. Love 'em - but they've got to be squishy. ( I know that means they are overcooked, but that's how I grew up with them and I love them that way )

If you make sure you cut your snips length ways and then toss them in sea salt and olive oil they will come up so chip-like they are heaven!

Other than that I would do sweet potatoes, shrooms, red onion, Romano peppers and courgettes with fresh rosemary and thyme and olive oil.

Max's bnut sound lush!
