Sounds like you saved him from further suffering, teeth take ages to get into that state, its a shame it happened when you were looking after him, but from what you have said, he may well of been left to suffer till he died if you were not.

So sorry to hear about the poor rabbit, but I think if it was not for you looking after it, the poor thing would have had a lingering death if left to the owners. At least the poor thing is out of pain now. Run free little one.

prob just needs its teeth clipping, i see it a lot a work especially with lop ear rabbits. its your responsibility to look after this animal including its health if it was me i would take it to the vets.

sorry didnt read the rest of the posts, the rabbit must have been off its food long before you were looking after it at least the little one isnt in pain any more {{hugs}}

How awful that the owners left the poor rabbit like this long enough for him to get in this state and then leave the ending up to you.
