Why is that man going over a wall with his dog in a harness? Isn't that a bit cruel? Or am I missing something?
These are War Dogs, the sort that are used on the front line in Afghanistan etc, they need to learn how to be deployed in all manner of ways.

"Would you put this on your dog?"

"No sir"

"Why not?"

"They prefer blue"

So jealous - OH will be going to Canada in 7 weeks time and may get to meet some of these dogs.

Me too! LOVED Hunter

Brilliant programme - really enjoyed it tonight. Had quite a few laughs throughout as well. The two trainers (not the head guy) were a real double act - they were hilarious.

Looking forward to next week too

I've only just seen this.

How does this help people train their dogs and how does it get the owners' dogs used to being trained/rehabilitated, etc.?

The only part I didn't like was the fact that the dogs wore prong collars. Apart from that, I thought it was amazing.

yeah i didn't like the prong collars, but they are widely used in military/working dogs. I guess, its better seeing them on a dog which is being trained for a purpose, and by professionals and not on an overweight staffie being walked by a guy losing his trousers. I still don't like them, but at least the bbc had the sense to tell the audience that these are not recommended in the UK.

Yes, overall interesting programme. The ladies mastiff looked gorgeous!
