Best bones for big dogs (dobermans)

Best edible long lasting dog bones for these dogs that have such strong teeth?

We gave raw knuckles, leg bones and beef ribs as recreational chews but they were raw fed so had chicken carcasses and chicken thighs routinely as part of their meals.

Personally, I wouldn't let mine have chicken bones, as they are like rabbit bones and splinter too easily IMO- sorry.

I would only give raw marrowbones, especially for larger dogs.

As long as it is raw, feeding whole chicken carcase, thigh and especially chicken wings is absolutely fine, they are only splintery when cooked. Same goes for rabbit.

Although Rabbit bones are very sharp, I cut my hand quite badly on Rabbit bones and tbh I avoid them now and give Rabbit minced.

I guess if your dog was a bolter - swallowing large chunks of rabbit without chewing- it could be a problem, all my raw fed dogs have been chewers so no harm done. The beauty about feeding whole unskinned carcase is that the fur is incredibly useful at helping in the digestion of bone, as are feathers ... the prey model is extremely healthy a way of raw feeding and if I had consistent access to unskinned, unplucked carcases I would definitely do prey model rather than BARF.

The problem wasn't the dogs it was me lol, I couldn't believe how badly my hand was gashed.
Although the have it minced these days, it's whole rabbit minced complete with fur and teeth etc.
