Great great great great (etc) grandparents

So today I had much time to spare and I thought I would look up Brogan's pedigree and try to find his oldest ancestors.
And these are a few I came across:


That's Beaver III, born 1903.


Boatswain, born 1916


And Skipper Bob, who didn't have a birth date.

I just thought it was really neat to see all the old photographs of the dogs 'back in the day'
Kept me busy for a while too

Fantastic - I've got pics of Fingal's (my springers) ancestors back to the 1960s but nothing this old other than written docs.

What an interesting subject, I have collected old photos and pictures of my breed but never thought of trying to see if they may be related to mine.

Looking at the photo of Boatswain one can see that the breeders have done a good job on improving the breed, just look at that topline
