Yippeeeeee......New Lens

I am very lucky. OH bought me a new lens for Xmas. 150-500mm. I just have to learn to get the best from it now. Any suggestions and tips will be greatly appreciated, as usual xxxxxxxx

Oo wow, you lucky thing, I just have a measly 300mm lol.

I'm certainly no expert but you must get a tripod if you haven't already got one to use with it to get the sharpest shots! I got a Gorillapod for Christmas

Yeah, I know I am lucky xxx You are better off than I was though, mine was a measly 200mm!!!!

Congratulation on the tripod, I wanted one but was told I can use this lens without one, it has an anti shake thing and have seen some decent pics taken without one.........so am not sure whether I need one or not????

Yes, it is the Sigma. Not sure about the F stop off hand and I am in bed so will check for u at a later date xxx. It is still in its box but will get some pics for us all to inspect soon xxxxxxx

I have the same lens and i love it no need for a tripod cos the anti shake takes over when focusing
enjoy it and play around
