Thanks so much to you all for your kind thoughts and vibes for Roxy, they are very much appreciated.

Trying to think and stay positive although it's not flippin' easy. I just want to get Tuesday out of the way and then we'll know where we are with things again. Hopefully it will be good news.

The good news is that Roxy is still jumping about like something demented and is very happy, it seems!

Thank you...

This is Roxy, Molly's had both cruciates done though and is currently on strict rest to recover from the second one, so the positive vibes would still be much appreciated for her.

Roxy still continues to fight this awful disease, her results were good and the mast cells are behaving.

Her white blood count is slightly raised but nothing that's causing Jenny Helm (specialist oncology vet) any concern. She'll get retested and a scan in a months time to see how things are but they are all good at the moment and things seem positive.

The relief is immense, I can tell you!

Hi Westie,I am so happy, but will keep sending positive healing vibe. I was wandering if you could give her a dog tonic to make her immune system stronger,I did when my Crystal got the mange from the fox, that went on for 6mths,and she perked up,a natural tonic,I did ask the vet and he said it would be ok.You just have to do as much as you can with a poorly dog, though the tonic was expensive, but her eyes looked brighter and she was enjoying her walks more.Gemini54

Madam is at it again.......:mroll:

Found this lump very near her tumour site last night....

Her next appointment wasn't until 4th June but wasn't prepared to wait that long, so I phoned her consultant this morning and got an emergency recheck appointment at 1pm.

She's wanting to lick it occasionall, so whether she has licked it raw or is licking it because it's annoying her, we don't know. It could also be an immunse response to the surgery and the mast cells are starting to 'misbehave', forming another Mast Cell Tumour (an ulcerative one as it's an open wound).

The vet took an aspirate of the lump and a swab of the site as it's open. As it's a bank holidays weekend we'll get the results on Tuesday Morning rather than Monday. IF it is an MCT, then she'll be getting some radiotherapy.

She's got a weeks worth of anti histamines to take, but to adjust the dosage (3 per day) if she gets drowsy. Hoping it takes the itch out of it and helps with the mast cells as well I think. The vet said this type of 'wound' could also attract other mast cells to the area, making the problem worse. They can be very unpredictable these things!

Anyway, talk about stress! Another step back, it seems.......BUT hoping for some good news on Tuesday. Please could you keep everything crossed for her yet again.
