i take Hector on the bus, he loves it and so do the other passengers.

i did ring Stagecoach just to make sure it would be ok, as he's so big, but i've never had a problem.

Mine all go on the bus and train as pups to get used to such things, as part of their education, but have to admit to having not taken them since.

looks like I'm the only unlucky one.

Here in Singapore, dogs and all pets are NOT allowed on buses and trains (MRTS).

If one (especially if it's a dog) in a public transport, it will create a huge uproar in the community and might even get published on the newspaper.

The only way for travelling with dogs is either by pet taxis (which are more expensive than human taxis. And some pet taxis don't ferry human), by human taxis (subjected to drivers' agreement) and by own car.

Unfortunately for me, I don't own a car. Therefore I have to use the first 2 methods.

Well, I do try to smuggle my boy in a carrier up a bus. But, if i get caught, I can be fined a S$500...

I doubt I will ever see the day when dogs are allowed to travel in public transport here...

I think if dogs were allowed to use the public transport, I would make very good use of them and bring my westie out every weekend and even in the evenings!

In this area (Notts) dogs are allowed on the buses but you have to pay a child's fare (even though they dont sit on seats!!), they are also allowed on trains, the only transport I can't take them on is the trams in Nottingham, no idea why not though! Most taxis round here are ok with dogs an we even have a specialist company called pets to vets that happily take dogs with or without the owner present & don't charge any extra or even "soiling charges"
