You do not NEED to add anything if you believe that the diet you feed your dogs fit their individual needs.

I "bespoke" my diet to my dogs, both have slightly different intakes in amount, supplements, etc.

Vitamin E which is also added to this formula has been known to protect your DNA, protein and lipids from oxidative damage.

Benefits that Omega 3 fatty acids may have on your health:

Maintain a healthy heart.*
Increases your focus.*
Improves vision. Several independent studies in the US and Australia indicate that adults taking fish oil are less prone to macular degeneration as they age.*
Maintain healthy joints & healthy skin.*
They help maintain the levels of prostaglandins, hormone-like substabces which are important for many bodily functions.*
Reduces soreness from weight training.
Recommended Dosage : 3 capsules 1-3 times daily with meals.

Following are some reasons why Eskimo-3 is the only omega-3 fish oil to buy:

Eskimo-3 is free from environmental contaminants
Eskimo-3 is natural fish oil, which has not been chemically modified.
Eskimo-3 is incredibly stable
Eskimo-3 has no fishy smell or aftertaste.
Eskimo-3 comes in the convenience of either capsules or liquid.
Developed by a highly dedicated team of international scientists.
Ingredients (Each three capsules typically contain):

Omega-3 Fatty Acids............................. 500 mg
of which
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)................... 240 mg
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).................. 160 mg
Natural Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol).... 4.5 mg

Encapsulated with Gelatin, glycerine, ascorbic acid, lecithin, and flavouring: lemon oil

CAUTION: Not recommended for haemophiliacs. Consult with a medical doctor if on anti-coagulant medication.

FAQS:

Why is Eskimo-3 better than other fish oils?

Eskimo-3 has levels of environmental contaminants well below current UK standards - it is tested for harmful toxins like mercury and dioxins
Eskimo 3 is not from the liver of the fish - it is fish body oil and is therefore purer than cod liver oils
Eskimo-3 has retained its natural antioxidants during processing and contains added vitamin E, making it incredibly stable. Most fish oil products available today become rancid when exposed to air.
Eskimo-3 remains fresh for longer without going rancid so it has no fishy smell or aftertaste
Eskimo-3 comes in the convenience of either capsules or liquid. The pleasant tasting liquid form is often preferred by children who are frequently resistant to swallowing capsules and tablets
Eskimo-3 can be taken like a multi vitamin on an ongoing basis. In fact, the longer it's taken the greater the benefits
Which fish does Eskimo-3 come from?
Sardines, which is the best source of high quality fish oil. The sardines come originally from the Antarctic and are caught outside South America.

Is Eskimo-3 the same as cod liver oil?
No. Cod liver oil is made from the liver of the fish and is therefore higher in vitamins A and D (because these vitamins are fat soluble and are stored in the liver). The liver is where all toxins and contaminants are processed so cod liver oil is likely to contain high levels of the environmental pollutants that are frequently found in the sea for e.g. heavy metals and dioxins.

Can I take Eskimo 3 when I am on drugs prescribed by my doctor?
You must consult your doctor if you are taking anticoagulant medication such as aspirin, warfarin & heparin. Eskimo 3 does not interact with any other medication and can therefore be taken at the same time.

Can I take Eskimo 3 with other vitamins and minerals?
Yes.

I am allergic to citrus fruits, can I take Eskimo 3?
No, because Eskimo is flavoured with lemon and people may react to it.

Can Eskimo 3 be given in pregnancy and breastfeeding?
It is a very good idea to supplement with omega 3 fatty acids in pregnancy because they are so integral to the baby's health. Α supplement as pure and stable as Eskimo 3 would be an excellent product for pregnant women.

How do you know that Eskimo 3 is the purest fish oil available?
A recent survey by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland examined a range of popular European fish oil capsules for the presence of dioxins. Of all the fish oils tested Eskimo-3 was found to have the lowest levels of contaminants, which included dioxins and dioxin-like PCB's. The concentration of heavy metal contaminants such as cadmium and mercury was below detection levels in Eskimo-3.
