Yes, he was quiet, hunched up, was doing the bowing thing, not eating, not toileting and looking very miserable. Pretty much exactly as you described Chase.

The honest answer, if this turns out to be the same problem with Chase, is that he could have eaten anything. Dexter my Labs obstruction was a plastic Tweety Pie figurine which he had for some reason swallowed whole. Another Lab I know swallowed a golf ball he picked up on a walk and had to have that removed.
