Day 2 in the Ramble house...

Sorry...I know I popped that onto the day one thread..but it sort of counts today too.

Tango is settling in nicely. We had her out on a free run today, with a trailing long line attached to a harness. She wasn't a bit bothered about the harness. She doesn't seem to like mud and puddles... She does LOVE people though and is going to need work on her recall. The long line was handy as we were able to stop her charging off (except on one occassion as she spotted the people before we did, thankfully we knew them) ...anyway we stopped her with the longline then called her and she came back everytime we did that, which is brill. Without people distractions she came back everytime...she isn't that bothered about other dogs, but did seem a bit smitten with a Beagle!

She had a poo in the hall this morning, totally our fault as we should have restriced where she was to the kitchen as we had breakfast, as we knew she needed one. Other than that though she has still been clean.
She settled more readily last night too.

She is humping Cosmo a lot...but it seems to be the way she starts play. Cosmo has growled her off a couple of times and we are now starting to intervene on occassion as we don't want her doing it ALL the time. The rest of the time they are lying around pawing and licking each other. After the walk this morning they both rolled around on Biff's bed to dry off...poor Biff!!!!!!

Biff is getting some much needed peace and quiet as Cosmo and Tango as so wrapped up in each other.

So...touch wood, couple of hiccups but still all going just fine. Phew...

Lovely update

Hopefully her desire to meet everyone and anyone will diminish when she realises that it isn't such a special thing - i.e. when she's out and about more. In the meantime, the long line seems to be working well

In fairness to her she just ran up and attached herself to the bottom of their legs, licking their hands and flirting!
Everyone loves her as she is a bit of a snuggler!
