Showing colour or swelling first?

Hi Guys,
Just a quick question because i can't remember
Do bitches show colour or starting swelling first,when due in season/starting a season.
Meg is slightly swollen but showing no colour

Normally the swelling comes first. I always know when my young bitch is going to come in as she starts swelling for a good two or three weeks before showing any colour.
