Meet Ronnie

Ronnie is a seven year old Akita, who was found abandoned over night in a park tethered to a poo bin.

When Ronnie first came to us he was 40% bald, having been allowed to suffer long-term from mange which his previous owners obviously failed to get medical treatment for. Three months later he has now fully recovered although he still bares some scars. He is very friendly towards people he knows and very affectionate, loving his cuddles and trying to sit on your lap, and hating to be ignored.

Ronnie is a well-behaved dog who likes the quiet life, he knows basic commands and is responsive although he knows his own mind and will respond only when he feels it is necessary. He wasn't very good with other dogs when he first came to us, but has since been intensively socialised and can be walked off-lead around other dogs that he knows. His new owners will need to continue this socialisation, and he will need to be muzzled and walked on a long line when off lead in the park around dogs he doesn't know.

Ronnie is a loyal and trustworthy dog, he gets along well with children but would prefer a home with children of 16 years and upwards. Someone who has owned Akitas before and will provide him with plenty of love and stimulation, a home where he will never have to worry about being left neglected again. He would happily live with someone who worked part-time.

Ronnie is looking for a perfect new home, a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life.
