Friendly Friday 1st September 2023

Morning all. Well where did that month go to? Seems I am the friend to go to now for taking in parcels for my neighbour who lives downstairs. Why she can't ask the neighbour who lives just opposite her flat I have no idea. I really don't mind and it keeps me fit going up and down the stairs. Yesterday she texted and asked me to go out and get in a parcel from round the back as it was raining. Yep I got wet going to get it in. Hope you all have a good day.

A man took his dog to the vet and said ‘I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to cut my dogs tail off ‘
‘but there’s nothing wrong with his tail’ says the vet ‘it’s perfectly healthy’
‘ I know ‘says the man ‘ but the mother-in-law is coming to stay tomorrow and I don’t want anything to make her think she’s welcome’

What a lovely day - not. Managed to get Teazle out before the rain set in again. It has only just stopped so all ideas of morning the lawn are out of the window for a time

Oh no she is at work, long hours. I don't mind at all. She is a lovely young lady. Nice and sunny here now. Kazz the book I am reading now is called:All Her Fault by Andrea Mara.

It's been dry all day here.

Most things have been shut today (we just got our breakfast before our regular cafe closed too and the one we sometimes go to was closed all day). Travellers have broken into the playground at the back of the village hall so all of the businesses took the cautious view

The haircut isn't too bad. I really didn't like the hairdresser too much though. She came over as very 'up herself'.

Hospital tomorrow for Gary to have an MRI. The appointment isn't until 5.30 pm though so it won't impact too much on our usual routine
