Oh my god, H, what a fright for you all. He is in the best place just now.

I do hope he makes a full recovery from whatever it is with no lasting effects.

Thinking of you both. Take care. xx

I had a subbarachnoid heamorage in May last year. The first symptom I had was terrible shaking (I felt like something was vibrating inside me) The terrible headache and vomiting came a couple of hours later. It was the first thing I thought off when I read your post. If he doesn't imrove I would call the doctor again. Fingers crossed it's nothing as serious but best to be careful.

Thanks again all, and I'm willing to believe their diagnosis now if it really can mimic things like a stroke, but those hands, the size of them clenched to his chest like that, I can't get it out of my head

Anyway, put him to bed now, he's still trembling and very white but he's sleeping and I've just walked Zena around the block (even though she had an hour's cycle ride with me earlier on) so hopefully she will sleep and we can leave him in peace.

I'm wondering how much more of these shocks my poor frail old body can take, so I'm going to rest up this afternoon too, might be wise what with my own heart probs!

Thanks again all, much appreciated, both your concern and support. Even my friends are ringing in a panic thinking it was me coz one of them saw the 2 ambulances outside earlier on, but I've told them, no need to celebrate yet, coz it's Dave not me!!!
