Is it just me who cleans when going on holiday????

Ok, the dogs and cats have gone

They shot out the car and took the kennel maid striaght to their new home for the next week, without even looking back.

My friend is coming everyday to feed the hamster and piggies, she's never been to my house before, and I'm cleaning like mad!

I always do this when we go away, as I love coming home to a clean and tidy house. My OH says we should go away more often!

I do this too especially when someone is coming in every day! But as you say it is nice to come home to a lovely tidy house.

I'm very lucky as my dogsitter is also my cleaner, so I came home this morning to a beautifully clean house and three very happy dawgs!

I sound ever so posh - I'm not, really!

i have to do this too - cant go away on holiday if the house isnt clean!

Glad it's not just me then!

I like to put fresh bedlinen on too, so when we come home we've got nice clean sheets, etc... as if your own bed wasn't lovely enough after being away.

Ok, well she's been, and all is well, except I've realised I've now set a standard I've got to keep up! lol

What made me really laugh was the fact my OH, who has been helping cleaning etc, had to rush upstairs and get changed coz she was coming. Then soon as she was out the door he changed back to his comfy clothes.
He'd not met my friend and perhaps me cleaning made him think someone really posh was coming!

I do it everytime I go away, even if it's just for a weekend.

My OH thinks I'm nuts, but like you, I like to come back to a clean, tidy house
