big horses like that are usually really comfy to ride i bet his canter is like sitting on a giant rocking horse
i have ridden an 18hh shire and she was a bit slow to get moving but had a nice way of cruising along very relaxing

I seen it what a beaut the lady on the back was like a dwarf on him, he was mid canter in the picture in the papers looked effortless for such a big animal.

When I lived on Islay I used to go to a local B & B as my aunt worked there and the owner kept about 20 horses they had a few Clydesdales that used to take part in the show each year in all the old fashioned set up. Beautiful animals. They were some of the biggest I have seen. The tallest horse I ever saw was at stables and it was called treacle it was a beautiful big horse around 19hh. The tallest horse I have ridden is 17hh and that is more than big enough for me (5ft tall ).

Ouch!!!!

The worst pain I have ever felt was when I was bitten by a large ex hunting horse, he was an enormous Irish Draught X TB I got between him and his feed and came out worse for it. He caught the very top of my arm and it HURT bad. I still have a scar to this day.

Ooh ... that is sore!!! I once got bitten by a naughty little pony, Daisy (anything but). She had absolutely no reason to bite me either, I was walking her back to her Stable. She just turned around and bit my stomach, took a good chunk out too. Still cant have anyone touch my stomach
