Wish I'd Had My Camera

Went out for evening walk with Jack tonight. Nothing new there except the balancing lake has flooded its banks and the usual shores have disappeared.
Jack loves to swim, but loves even more doing that racing through shallow water thing. You know mouth wide open, alternating between bounding like he's running through tall grass and tucking bum under like he's being chased.

Anyway that was comical enough, but as we came round the bottom shore, he raced forward, bum tucked in. I closed my eyes and laughed and opened them just in time to see him disappear straight down into a deep bit!!! It was like a Loony toons moment. He came up with all the grace of a terrier ( you'll know what I mean if you own one) turned round and promptly started shouting at the lake like it wasnt his fault that he'd run straight off the edge of the shore!!
I'd have paid good money for someone to have taken those photos!! Wonder if he's forgiven the lake yet....?
