Valentine's Day

So, are you doing anything special?

I actually met my OH on Valentine's Day, 22 years ago.
We usually have a night in, Paul does the cooking for the main meal - I buy the sweet - and we spend whatever we would have spent in a posh restaurant on getting a present (sometimes each, sometimes between us, depending on funds)

This year, I got a new camera, with sound. I couldn't be more delighted with it.
Paul will get his present on the day

after we have our candlelit meal, we'll snuggle up and watch a dvd.

So, come on, what if anything will you lot do?

You will laugh when I say me and OH are going out with Phil(brother) and his wife. they are travelling down tomorrow (snow allowing) and we have a romantic table for four booked for Saturday night at our local tapas bar. Mum and dad get to look after the four dogs, the three kids and baby Fiona!

well as we have no babysitter and we dont usually spend that much time with each other or as a family due to my agility comps and he works eves. so we are spending the day together with our son, taking him to a indoor playground then were going into town where hes gonna buy stuff to cook me later. then when we get in were all gonna take the dogs for a nice walk together he never walks the dogs(esp in winter)
And then in the eve when little ones in bed hes gonna cook me a lovely dinner and were gonna watch a film together.

Nothing really romantic- and some of the things were gonna do some people take for granted. its just nice to be able to spend the day together, but one day is enough otherwise he annoys me...ive got a comp on sunday so i wont be drinking either (alcoholic in previous life!!)

We don't do anything, don't even get each other cards. Can't see the point its just commercialism if you ask me. Apart from that i think its more for singles, we've been together for 20 odd years. Why do you need Valentines Day to buy someone some flowers etc ?? Miserable cow aren't I ??
