re-occurring Cellulitis

Does anyone suffer with Cellulitis? I get it on one leg and it seems to come back every three weeks. I seem to be permanently on antibiotics! Anyone else suffer with it?

Thanks for the link - i had no idea about this looks very painful, poor you - i know its not the same but my baby son had very bad eczema on his face and arms/legs and was under the hospital for it, he used to get infections alot with that - he is 11 now and i am pleased to say he grew out of it. You could try aloe vera gel, you can get it in Holland and Barratt its very soothing and cooling and might make it a bit less painful for you. Hope you get it sorted out.

Thanks for your reply. I'm glad your son has grown out of his eczema.

I suffered from this once after an insect bite - seems it was quite common that year.

Are you scratching areas of skin so that infection can get in that way?

Hey Asti,

I have lymph-oedema in my right arm which means I am at increased risk of cellulitis. I've not had it so far, but I have had recurring eczema on that arm for the past few months. I've not had eczema since I was about 14!

Maybe it's something to do with the weather?

Hope it gets better soon x

Thanks for the replies. I should have said, I had a bad fall last year and I fell on my leg and damaged the soft tissue. My leg is swollen and wont go back to its normal size and that's why I keep getting it. It's a bloomin' nuisance.
