I shall be ordering one, and will be proud to wear both the red and purple poppies on 11.11.11 to honour the heroes who defended this country, and the ones still fighting out in Afghanistan and anywhere else in the world right now.

i have ordered a purple poppy a lapel badge and a car sticker the poppy appeal is a charity i will always support. its inportant to remember the people and animals that have given there lives.

I wear a red poppy every year [I get one each year from the British Embassy in Tel Aviv] and every year I have to explain to people what it stands for and why I am wearing it.

I would also wear a purple poppy if I could get one.

How odd I've just been out to a meal & one of the people was wearing a purple poppy & told us all about it. I'll be getting one.

I got one last year as they were on sale in the RSPCA charity shop in Wymondham that we went into so I wore it alongside the red one.

Haven't seen any yet this year though.
