I have the same issue Chris, I am deaf in my right ear and partially deaf I my left, I have the volume turned right up on my Samsung.....it must be loud as my mum can hear it the other side of the room, she can hear Steve when he is crashing round in the kitchen lol.
He got a shock today, checked his gas and had £3 on it, put the grill on to make himself cheese toasties and had the heating on for an hour......it went down to £1.60, he doesn't put his heating on much anyway, I am always cold at his house and tend to sit in my coat....not sure what he will do now.....maybe I better buy us a couple of nice blankets, I have ordered him a sandwich toaster... which he will moan about but it will be cheaper than using the grill I am sure
