As you know I dont live in the best country in the world. There is a lot of poverty, ppl living in squatter camps - tin shacks, no running water, no electricity etc. A few years ago, the SPCA (i think it was them), who by the way are a non-profit organisation and get no government funding in this country, arranged funding for a programme where they went into the squatter camps and invited all the kids living there to bring their dogs in to the "clinic". The dogs and cats were all spayed or neutered and the kids were all taught some very much needed info on Grooming, Feeding, Exercise, and health. then they were told to come back to have sutures removed.
I think that is amazing, and the volunteers who did that need a serious thank you. Imagine how effective it is when hundreds maybe thousands of animals cannot produce offspring. It helps a lot!!
If they did that all over the world, especially in 3rd world and worse countries!
